Martin Mull, comedian and actor from “Clue” and “Roseanne”, dies at the age of 80

His daughter announced the news on Friday, writing that he died “after a brave battle against a long illness.”

Martin Mull, the Comedian and actor, known for his roles in Notice, Roseanne And Arrested developmentdied at the age of 80.

His daughter Maggie Mull announced the news on Friday, writing: “It is with great sadness that I must announce that my father passed away at home on June 27th after bravely battling a long illness.” She added: “He was known for excelling in every creative discipline imaginable, including his Red Roof Inn commercials. He thought this joke was funny. He was always funny.”

“My father will be sadly missed by his wife and daughter, his friends and colleagues, fellow artists, comedians and musicians and – the mark of a truly extraordinary person – many, many dogs,” Maggie continued. “I loved him immensely.”

Mull received recognition for his role in Mary Hartman and its spinoff Fernwood 2 nightsHe later took on recurring roles in shows of the nineties as lead actor Willard Kraft in Sabrina – totally bewitched! and as boss Leon Carp and friend of Roseanne Connor (Roseanne Barr), on Roseanne.

The comedian was also known for his unforgettable character on Arrested development as private detective Gene Parmesan and received an Emmy nomination in 2016 for his role as Bob “The Eagle” Bradley in Veep.
