Former Atlanta Mayor Keisha Lance Bottoms Joins Biden’s Reelection Campaign

ATLANTA, Ga. (Atlanta News First) – Former Atlanta Mayor Keisha Lance Bottoms has been named a senior adviser to President Joe Biden’s re-election campaign, a Democratic National Committee source confirmed Wednesday.

Stockings too posted a link to an article in Ebony magazine on X Wednesday afternoon, in which she discusses her new role for the Biden-Harris campaign.

Bottoms already works for the Biden administration as a member of the President’s Export Council. She accepted the position last summer after serving as director of the White House Office of Public Engagement. Bottoms left her public engagement role in early 2023.

Bottoms also currently serves as vice president of civic engagement and voter protection for the Democratic National Committee — and, according to her website, a political commentator for CNN. The network is hosting the first presidential debate of 2024 between Biden and former President Donald Trump at its Atlanta studio on Thursday evening.

Bottoms served as Atlanta’s 60th mayor from 2018 to 2022 after eight years on the Atlanta City Council.
