Three DUI suspects arrested at checkpoint in Victorville

Three suspected drunk drivers were arrested during a drunk driving check in Victorville on Friday evening, officials said.

San Bernardino County Sheriff’s officials held the checkpoint at 7th Street and Desert Knoll Drive Friday evening.

A total of 1,508 drivers were checked during the transit, sheriff’s officials said.

Nine drivers were subjected to breathalyzer tests, which ultimately led to the arrest of three of them on suspicion of drunk driving, the agency said in a written statement.

Another 13 drivers received tickets for driving without a license or driving with a revoked license, officials added.

Funding for the weekend checkpoint was provided by the California Office of Traffic Safety through the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration.
