'Secret programme' for Glastonbury 2024 leaked: Bookmakers suspend bets on favourites

This year’s Glastonbury Festival is just around the corner, and music lovers across the country are looking forward to a weekend of live performances from some of their favourite musicians. And although the main acts have been public knowledge for months, festival fans are already looking forward to this year’s secret sets.

Headliners this year include Coldplay, Dua Lipa and Shania Twain, but there are always a few surprises. Last year’s festival saw several unexpected performances by the Foo Fighters and many believe we’ll soon see another big name with an unforgettable show.

Kasabian, who headlined the Pyramid Stage in 2014, are gearing up for a spectacular return ten years later at the Worthy Farm event, festival-goers say. The Leicester rock band are favourites for the secret Woodsies Stage appearance, not only because of the anniversary but also because of their relaxed touring schedule.

The band have announced they will be touring in July, and many believe they may use Glastonbury as a warm-up before heading to Edinburgh on July 3. Formed in 1997, the band consists of singer and guitarist Sergio Pizzorno, bassist Chris Edwards, drummer Ian Matthews and guitarist Tim Carter.

They are not the only ones rumoured to make the potential appearance, however. Pulp, who last performed at Glastonbury Festival in 2011, have also been suggested. Disco 2000 singer Jarvis Cocker is set to perform on Friday, reports the Mirror. They first graced the Somerset stage together in 1995.

In the past, surprise appearances from big names like Lady Gaga, The Killers and Franz Ferdinand have been a highlight, leading to plenty of speculation about who might be included in the line-up. The iconic gates of the 2024 Glastonbury Festival are set to open at around 8am on Wednesday 26 June, with the event running until Sunday 30 June – and Kings Of Leon are another big band rumoured to be there, reports Metro.co.uk.
