Pedestrian struck and killed by vehicle on Interstate 24 in Clarksville

CLARKSVILLE, TN (CLARKSVILLE NOW) – A pedestrian was struck and killed by a vehicle on Interstate 24 near the Tennessee Welcome Center Wednesday evening.

According to Clarksville police spokesman Scott Beaubien, the pedestrian was on the highway near mile marker 0.2 when he was struck around 9:42 p.m.

I-24 eastbound was shut down at this location. Drivers are advised to find an alternate route until the roadway can be cleared.
