Teen dead after being pulled from Spokane River | Spokane News

SPOKANE, Wash. – A search of the Spokane River resulted in a dead teenager being pulled from the water by a dive team Wednesday evening.

According to fire officials, four young people jumped into the water from a pedestrian bridge near the Riverfront Park visitor center.

Only three of the minors surfaced and a fourth was pulled from the water after being submerged for over an hour by the Spokane County Sheriff’s Office dive team.

The fire department confirmed the death of the child, who was still a teenager, on Wednesday evening.
