Woman raped in Cornwall tourist hotspot: Police search for 6ft tall attacker who fled crime scene – The Sun

A woman was raped on a coastal path in Cornwall and the perpetrator is still at large.

Devon and Cornwall Police said a woman was raped at North Cliffs, near Bassett Cove, at around 6pm on Wednesday 19 June.

Investigators have launched a manhunt and are asking the public for information.

The perpetrator, who fled the scene, is described as white, about 1.80 m tall, slim and with about five centimetres long dark brown hair.

He was wearing a dark short-sleeved T-shirt, dark jeans and dark sneakers.

Detective Inspector Dan McKenzie said: “The woman is currently being cared for by specially trained officers.

“Our investigations into this incident are ongoing and I would urge anyone who was in the area at the time and may have seen anything that could assist our investigation to come forward.

“Anyone who may have seen this man or anyone with information about this incident is asked to contact police on 101 quoting 50240152507.”
