Two police vehicles involved in accident in downtown Las Vegas

LAS VEGAS, Nevada (FOX5) – A downtown intersection is closed Monday morning after two Las Vegas police vehicles were involved in a crash.

At approximately 4:31 a.m., the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department responded to an accident at Main Street and Bonneville Avenue. Two marked patrol cars were identified at the accident and the officers inside were taken to the hospital as a precaution.

Traffic police are investigating the accident, but further details were not immediately available.

The intersection of Main Street and Bonneville Avenue is currently closed due to debris and an ongoing investigation. Officials expect the intersection to be fully reopened shortly.

The public is advised to use alternative routes until the intersection reopens.
