Ministry: Gunmen shoot at police car in Dagestani village, injuring one person

The Interior Ministry of Russia’s North Caucasus region of Dagestan said attackers shot at a police car, wounding an officer, while fatal shootouts with police continued in two cities in the region.

The spokeswoman for the Dagestani Interior Ministry said that “unknown assailants fired at a police car in the central square of the village of Sergokal, 65 kilometers from Makhachkala, the region’s largest city. One person was injured,” the RIA Novosti news agency reported.
