Second suspect arrested in death of 79-year-old woman, man originally arrested released | Texas

BEDFORD, Texas — Bedford police have arrested a second suspect in connection with the June 6 death of 79-year-old Christina Barsanti.

As their investigation continued, investigators gained a clearer picture of the vehicle used in the crime. This led them to identify Aaron Pouchie, a 26-year-old from Montgomery, Alabama, as the second person of interest. Pouchie was tracked down in Jefferson Parish, Louisiana, on June 10 with the assistance of local police. He was taken into custody by the Jefferson Parish Sheriff’s Department on June 11 on unrelated charges.

Bedford detectives obtained a warrant for Pouchie’s arrest and charged him with capital crimes. The suspect’s vehicle was returned to Texas for processing. The Tarrant County District Attorney’s Office is currently working on extradition proceedings to return Pouchie to Texas and place him in the Tarrant County Jail.

Due to these developments, Brandon Paramore, who was originally arrested and charged with the crime, has been released from custody. The case remains under investigation as investigators continue to gather evidence.
