Police-involved shooting in Harrisburg under investigation

HARRISBURG, Pa. (WHTM) – The Dauphin County District Attorney’s Office is investigating a police officer-involved shooting in Harrisburg on Saturday.

Shortly before 5 p.m., police officers from the city and surrounding areas were called to the corner of 19th Street and Derry Street.


District Attorney Fran Chardo told abc27 News that a person wanted for a crime was shot and is being treated at a local hospital. Her condition is unknown.

Chardo’s office is investigating the use of force.

Further circumstances of the shooting and the identity of the person are not yet known.

No police officer was injured in the incident.
