Police in Travelers Rest search for stolen car and suspect

TRAVELERS REST, SC (WSPA) — An attempted traffic stop ended with a two-car collision in Travelers Rest on Saturday.

According to Travelers Rest police, officers identified a stolen car on North Highway 25 and Roe Ford Road.

As the officers attempted to stop the traffic, a car crash occurred. The driver of the car that was hit was uninjured.

Police, sniffer dogs, bloodhounds and drones are searching for the suspect who was driving the stolen car. Officials said the search is taking place near Furman University.
