Roommate arrested after shooting at Dorchester Manor Thursday morning

DORCHESTER COUNTY, SC (WCBD) – Officials have arrested a 29-year-old man in connection with the killing of Jasmine Elizabeth Anderson in Dorchester Manor.

Geread Sonny Richardson, who lived in the home with Anderson, was charged with murder, possession of a weapon during a violent crime and possession of meth – less than one gram – according to the Dorchester County Sheriff’s Office.

Anderson was found shot to death in her home Thursday morning and was pronounced dead at 5:16 a.m. by Dorchester County Coroner Paul J. Brouthers.

Investigators believe the shooting that killed her occurred around 3 a.m. The sheriff’s office said the investigation into the case is ongoing, so DCSO said it would not release any further information “to preserve the integrity of the investigation.”

Deputies said they were still pursuing further leads to find out what happened to Ms Anderson.
