Knife attacker arrested after similar incident | News

The suspect allegedly responsible for Monday night’s shooting and stabbing was arrested following a similar violent incident Thursday night in downtown Colorado Springs, according to Colorado Springs police.

Police said at around 10:55 p.m., officers received multiple reports of a stabbing outside a store near the intersection of East Cimarron Street and South Tejon Street.

According to officials, when police arrived they found that one person had sustained injuries that were not life-threatening.

After searching the area, police located the suspect near the Colorado Avenue and Antlers Place area.

After the suspect was arrested, police said investigators were able to confirm that he was also responsible for the fatal stabbing on Monday evening in eastern Colorado Springs.

The suspect was taken into custody on a charge of first-degree assault. His identity is not being released at this time, police said.
