Ric Flair shares his side of the heated Florida restaurant incident

Wrestling

Ric Flair has apologized for losing his temper during a confrontation with a restaurant worker in Florida over the weekend.

Flair, 75, was celebrating his stepdaughter’s college graduation at Piesano’s Stone Fired Pizza in Gainesville, and surveillance footage surfaced of him calling an employee “Dips-T” and telling him to resolve their differences outside.

The professional wrestling legend joined the “MJ Morning Show” at Q105 in Tampa on Wednesday and explained what happened.

During the radio spot, Flair mentioned that he had a near-death experience in 2017 and that his “intestines” and the rest of his body “work differently now.”

This means that Flair had to go to the bathroom and was upset that a restaurant employee was taking a while to do his business.

He said he had a friendly relationship with the bartenders at the bar before the restroom incident and that the employee named Nicholas, who was behind the bar during the video, confronted him about his behavior in the restroom, they said but had not had any contact beforehand.

“I was wrong about getting angry, but I kind of felt like I was defending my position,” Flair said.

“I’m with my wife and my stepdaughter, who just graduated with a degree in criminology and is going to work for the FBI, and they were fighting so hard that she was scared right out the door.”

Flair went on to make his contribution

“I was wrong because I lost my temper. I probably should have just walked out the door, but it surprised me so much because we had a wonderful time.”

Flair denied he was drunk at the time of the confrontation, saying he drank Michelob Ultra beers and “probably” two mixed drinks.
