Dog euthanized after being shot and killed while attacking woman – Baltimore Sun

According to Baltimore police, one of the dogs that attacked and killed a woman Friday night has been euthanized.

At approximately 8:50 p.m., officers were dispatched to the 2000 block of N. Pulaski Street for a report of a dog bite incident.

When officers arrived, they reported that two stray pit bulls had attacked three people.

According to police, a 67-year-old woman and a 42-year-old man suffered non-life-threatening dog bites.

The third victim, 54-year-old Sheila Jones, succumbed to her injuries, police said.

During the incident, officers fired their firearms and struck one of the dogs.

Both dogs were picked up by the animal protection agency.

The dog that was shot was euthanized due to the severity of its injuries. The other dog remains in custody.
