Connie Lester Uhre was sentenced to 90 days in jail, with the sentence suspended. Uhre was found guilty of spraying people with a furniture cleaner while they were protesting in the parking lot of the Grand Gateway Hotel. At the time, Uhre was one of the hotel’s owners.

In announcing the verdict on Friday, the judge cited Uhre’s lack of prior convictions, her lung cancer diagnosis and her inability to provide racial evidence of the crime as reasons for the suspended sentence.
