One dead, one flown out by helicopter, one taken to local hospital after an accident involving several vehicles

SHREVEPORT, Louisiana (KTAL/KMSS) – A driver was killed in a multi-vehicle crash on North Market.

Shreveport Police officials said the CPSO Patrol Division, Caddo Parish Fire District 1 out of Blanchard and Life Air Rescue responded to a car crash in the 6000 block of North Market around 5:20 p.m. on June 10.


A silver Chevy pickup truck was traveling on North Market when the vehicle suddenly crossed the turn lane and entered the southbound lane, striking a white Toyota Camry. The silver truck continued traveling in the northbound lane until it collided head-on with another car.

The driver of the car that was hit head-on was pronounced dead at the scene of the accident.

The driver of the pickup truck was transported to Ochsner LSU Health by Life Air Rescue with significant injuries.

The driver of the Toyota was taken by ambulance to Willys Knighton Bossier with moderate injuries.

Officials are still investigating the three-vehicle accident.
