Police ask for help identifying East Boston theft suspect – Boston News, Weather, Sports

BOSTON (WHDH) – Detectives with the Boston Police Department in East Boston are asking the public for help in identifying a person involved in an ATM scam last month.

The incident occurred on Saturday, June 22, at 11:30 a.m. near 11 Porter St.

“The suspect defrauded the victim by tricking her into believing that an error had occurred with the ATM after she used it,” police said in a statement.

According to police, the suspect stole the victim’s bank card and withdrew $12,000.
