MPD is investigating several shootings over the weekend

MEMPHIS, Tenn. – There have been multiple shootings in the city of Memphis since Friday, according to the Memphis Police Department (MPD).

Memphis police said they responded to 3755 Ironwood Drive on Friday around 5 p.m. According to MPD, a woman was transported to Regional One in critical condition.

This is an ongoing investigation and the suspect is known to the victim, MPD said.

MPD said another shooting occurred in the 2500 block of Kimball Avenue. MPD said they responded around 9 p.m. Friday night and found a man who was in critical condition at Regional One.

As of press time, MPD has no suspect information regarding this incident.

MPD said a shooting also occurred in the 5300 block of Scottsdale Avenue on Friday evening around 9 p.m.

According to MPD, a man was taken to critical condition at Regional One.

MPD said a shooting occurred at 915 Chelsea Avenue Friday night at 11:20 p.m. A man was taken to Regional One in critical condition.

As of press time, no suspect information was available from MPD and it is an ongoing investigation, they said.

Memphis police officials said a shooting occurred at 1378 May Street, with a man found dead at the scene.
