Police said a suspension was initiated due to the man’s harassment (representative)

Jaipur:

Three Rajasthan Police officials were suspended on Friday after a video allegedly showing a man being forced to pluck out his facial hair during interrogation surfaced on social media, officials said.

Bhilwara Superintendent of Police Rajan Dushyant said the suspension was taken because of the man’s harassment during interrogation.

The police action came after Mandal MLA Uday Lal Bhadana met Dushyant regarding the video clip. However, no police officers were seen in the video.

The SP said Pratap Nagar SHO Sugan Singh, ASI Mahendra Khoji and Constable Banwar Lal have been suspended.

Officers identified the man seen in the video as Suresh Gurjar and said he was arrested in connection with a May 8 scuffle.
