Due to severe weather and tornado warning, university employees are asked to leave campus by 3:30 p.m. today, July 10 — Syracuse University News

Syracuse University employees are asked to leave campus no later than 3:30 p.m. today due to a tornado warning in effect for Central New York. Showers and thunderstorms are expected, some with heavy rain.

Essential employees, including building services, public safety and food service employees, will remain on campus until the end of their shift as directed by their supervisors. Students, faculty and staff remaining on campus should remain in their homes during the threat of severe weather. The Shaw Dining Center will remain open for on-campus students.

All face-to-face courses currently running and planned for the rest of the evening have been cancelled.

The university will continue to monitor the weather and provide further updates as they become available.

If severe weather persists and additional changes to plans are necessary, updated information will be announced through the University’s emergency broadcast notification system and will be marked SU WEATHER ALERT. Please ensure that your Orange Alert settings in MySlice are always up to date.
