Kansas teenager arrested for sex crimes | KSNF/KODE

PITTSBURG, Kansas – A Pittsburg teenager is arrested on similar sex crimes charges nine days after being released from prison.

Walter Lalimo, 19, is being held in the Crawford County Jail on $7,500 bail. He is charged with obstructing prosecution and exposure to children.

Pittsburg police were called to Schlanger Park on Friday afternoon because of reports that Lalimo was exposing himself and touching himself inappropriately in front of others at the park’s water playground.

When officers arrived, they tried to get Lalimo to flee, but they were able to arrest him.

Lalimo was released from the Crawford County Jail on June 12 after pleading guilty to hindering prosecution earlier this month. He was sentenced to probation.

The allegation stems from an incident in February when charges were brought against Lalimo after a daycare worker called Pittsburg police about a man touching himself inappropriately across the street.
When he tried to escape, the officers arrested him.
