The SBU attacks two oil depots in Russia’s Krasnodar region

Ukraine’s State Security Service (SBU) attacked two oil depots in Russia’s Krasnodar region overnight on May 9, a source familiar with the information told the Kyiv Independent.

According to the source, the SBU launched a “successful” drone attack on oil depots in the village of Yurovka in the region.

The oil depots damaged in the attack were reportedly transshipment points for fuel deliveries to Russian forces stationed in occupied Crimea.

“The SBU will continue to reduce Russia’s economic and logistical potential for warfare,” the source said.

Krasnodar Territory’s operational headquarters claimed earlier in the day that six drones attacked an oil depot in Yurovka.

According to Russian authorities, the attack caused a fire and damaged parts of the facility. No casualties were reported.

The fire was reportedly extinguished around 7:40 a.m. local time.
