WITNESSES SAY A PERSON WALKED UP TO HER WINDOW AND SHOT HER. NOW, ON YOUR SCREEN, YOU SEE TWO OF THE THREE ARRESTED PEOPLE: 19-YEAR-OLD JOSHUA AVALIA BONIFACIO, 17-YEAR-OLD URBAN ALVAREZ, AND A 15-YEAR-OLD MALE. WDSU HAS OBTAINED A DOCUMENT SHOWING THAT BONIFACIO WAS RELEASED FROM THE JEFFERSON PARISH PRISON IN FEBRUARY DUE TO PRISON OVERCROWDING. INVESTIGATORS SAY ALL THREE ARE NOW FAVORED WITH SECOND DEGREE MURDER IN THE SECOND DEGREE FOR ATTEMPTED ARMED ROBBERY. BAIL WAS SET FOR THE TWO WE JUST MENTIONED AT MORE THAN A MILLION DOLLARS. I WAS TOLD THAT PEOPLE IN THAT AREA WHO HEARD THE SHOTS RAN TO THE AID OF CRISTI THIBODAUX, WHO DIED FROM HER INJURIES. THIBODAUX WORKED FOR THE LAST THREE YEARS AT CRAWL NEW ORLEANS AS A TOUR GUIDE ON BOURBON STREET. I WAS TOLD THAT SHE HAD JUST FINISHED A CRAWL WITH FRIENDS AND COLLEAGUES THE NIGHT OF HER DEATH. HER GOOD FRIEND EMILY SAYS SHE IS STILL IN SHOCK FROM WHAT HAPPENED. AFTER THE TOURS, EVERYONE USUALLY JUST HANGS OUT AND, UM, IT USUALLY WAS A SAFE, GOOD TIME, BUT TODAY IT’S LIKE EVERYWHERE YOU GO, YOU HAVE TO LOOK BEHIND YOURSELF. SHE JUST, YOU KNOW, IMPRESSED. YEAH. JUST SO MANY PEOPLE WITH, UM, POSITIVE VIBES AND TO SHOW THEM WHAT, YOU KNOW, THE ENTERTAINMENT SIDE OF NEW ORLEANS IS NOW IN TRUE NEW ORLEANS FASHION, A SECOND LINE HAS ACTUALLY JUST WALLED THROUGH THE AREA. New Orleans police arrest three people, including a 15-year-old, in murder investigation in the French Quarter

The New Orleans Police Department has made an arrest in connection with a fatal shooting in the French Quarter over the weekend. The shooting occurred on Sunday, June 30, in the 700 block of St. Peter Street. The shooting killed Kristie Thibodeaux, 43, who was found shot to death in a car around 4:36 a.m. The New Orleans Police Department announced that three people have been identified and arrested in connection with the shooting. Those arrested include Jerben Albarec, Joshua Aviala-Bonifacio and a 15-year-old boy. All were arrested on charges of second-degree murder and attempted armed robbery, according to police. Anyone with additional information about this incident is asked to call New Orleans Police Department Homicide Unit detectives at 504-658-5300.

New Orleans police have made an arrest in connection with a fatal shooting in the French Quarter over the weekend.

The shooting occurred on Sunday, June 30, in the 700 block of St. Peter Street.

The shooting claimed the life of Kristie Thibodeaux, 43, who was found shot to death in a car at around 4:36 a.m.

The NOPD announced that three people were identified and arrested in connection with the shooting.

Those arrested include Jerben Albarec, Joshua Aviala-Bonifacio and a 15-year-old boy.

According to police, all of them were charged with premeditated murder and attempted armed robbery.
