Man, 3 children found dead in car at Gwinnett County Park

TUCKER, Ga. (Atlanta News First) – Police stumbled upon a gruesome discovery overnight at a Gwinnett County park. Four people – three of them children – were found dead in a vehicle.

The Gwinnett Police Department said an officer was conducting an area check at Lucky Shoals Park (4651 Britt Road, Tucker) just after 1 a.m. Wednesday when he found a suspicious vehicle parked on a pedestrian walkway. Officials say the officer called out but received no response, and when he approached the car he found the bodies of four people inside.

According to police, the driver appears to be an adult male and the children appear to be elementary and middle school aged. Two are girls and one is a boy.

At this time, investigators believe they are investigating this case as a possible murder-suicide, but the coroner’s office will make the final determination.

Investigators are still processing the crime scene.

The names of the deceased are being withheld until next of kin can be notified.
