Three people arrested after break-in and standoff in Brownsville | Crime and Courts

BROWNSVILLE, Minn. (WXOW) – Three people were arrested following a weekend burglary and standoff with authorities in Brownsville.

The Houston County Sheriff’s Office said it received a 911 call around 2 a.m. Sunday morning about a burglary in progress at the River Station gas station and convenience store.

Sheriff’s officers, a police dog, La Crescent police and the Minnesota State Patrol responded to the scene.

A statement from the sheriff’s office said the three people were arrested after about an hour of standoff. They are:

Hannah Goyette, 21, of Caledonia, Joel Cruz, 36, also of Caledonia, and Harley Kulp, 27, of Green Bay, were taken into custody with minor injuries, according to the statement.

All three are in the Houston County Jail facing various charges, including burglary, criminal damage and possession of burglary tools.
