Two people charged after dog bite incident

PEORIA, Ill. (WMBD) – Two people were charged Wednesday after their dog attacked and injured a couple on Moss Avenue near Bradley University last Thursday.

According to the Peoria County District Attorney’s Office, charges were filed against Robert L. Cady, 45, and Gabrelle L. Jones, 23, with failure to comply with orders resulting in serious bodily injury.


On June 27, several pit bulls owned by Cady and Jones were on the loose and attacked a couple who were walking their dog.

Cody and Jones had previously been ordered by Peoria County Animal Services to confine their dogs because they had been involved in previous biting incidents and were classified as dangerous animals.

There is an arrest warrant out for Cady and Jones.
