One was injured after a spectacular accident on the Periférico of Mérida

On the night of Friday, May 10, a spectacular accident occurred when a truck crashed into the foot of a pedestrian bridge in the eastern area of ​​the Mérida Periférico, causing serious damage to property and an injured motorist.

The vehicle was moving in the outer lanes of the Periférico and, after the bridge at the exit to Mulchechén, the man behind the wheel turned right to move to the side of the entrance to Kanasín.

At that moment, apparently due to speeding, he lost control of the steering wheel, climbed onto the sidewalk on that side and crashed into one of the bases of the pedestrian bridge.

The driver got out of the vehicle and asked for help. Paramedics arrived and, after examining him, took the driver to a hospital.

The accident was left to the attention of police officers and experts, who requested a crane to lift the truck and requested the intervention of the relevant insurance company.
