SSGC cuts off gas supply in Balochistan on Saturday

Sui Southern Gas Company Limited will temporarily suspend gas supply in certain areas of Balochistan on Saturday (tomorrow) from 10am to 5pm.

This is to enable repairs and maintenance work on the gas supply lines and to increase gas pressure in the affected regions, said spokesman Salman Ahmed Siddique.

“The company is working to improve gas pressure in different parts of Balochistan.”

The following areas are affected by the temporary eight-hour interruption of gas supply:

• Kolpur
• Masting
• Khada Khocha
• Mangucher
• Kalat
• Kanak
• Pirangabad
• Special
• Jatingabad
• Mangalbad
• Shell Depot
• Hazarganj
• Bowery Street
• A city
• Khartoum
• Khizai
• PAF base Smanguli
• Airport
• Baleli
• Killi Barat
• City of Jinnah
• Shahbaz City
• Nawan Killi
• Kach Nasiran
• Cake varnish
• Pishin
• Harmzai
• Ziarat and the surrounding villages

Consumers in the affected areas have been advised to make alternative arrangements for the duration of the gas supply interruption.

In addition, the government is preparing further price increases for private customers as well as fertilizer, CNG and cement manufacturers.
