One dead in nighttime shooting in south Charlotte: paramedics

CHARLOTTE (QUEEN CITY NEWS) — One person was killed in a shooting in south Charlotte early Sunday morning, according to Medic.

At around 12:15 a.m. on Sunday, officers were called to a shooting report at 3925 Providence Road. About an hour later, a paramedic reported that one person was dead.

Police have not released any information about what led to the shooting or whether anyone is in custody.
