Lancaster couple charged with attack on woman that left her hospitalized

Damaris Almodovar-Ramos, 38, and Antonio Farrell, 35, are charged with aggravated assault and related offenses in connection with the July 10 incident on Kentshire Drive, police said

LANCASTER, Pa. – A Lancaster man and woman are on trial for allegedly beating another woman so badly that she had to be hospitalized, police said.

Damaris Almodovar-Ramos, 38, and Antonio B. Farrell, 35, both of Lancaster, are charged with aggravated assault, simple assault, harassment and disturbing the peace in connection with the alleged incident, which occurred July 10 in the 200 block of Kentshire Drive, according to Manheim Township police.

The victim suffered two cuts to his face, a fractured right eye socket, a broken nose and a concussion in the attack, police said.

According to police, Almodovar-Ramos allegedly hit her several times, grabbed her by the hair and threw her to the ground.

Almodovar-Ramos and Farrell then attacked the victim a second time and threw her to the ground, where Almodovar-Ramos again punched the victim in the face several times before kicking her in the back of the head while she was on the ground, police said.

According to police, Farrell then struck the victim as he tried to get up and repeatedly hit bystanders who tried to intervene.

Both suspects were arraigned on the charges and remanded to the Lancaster County Jail on $10,000 bail.
