Minnesota Vikings rookie wide receiver Jordan Addison arrested for drunk driving

The Minnesota Vikings’ latest arrest wide receiver Jordan Addison made headlines late Friday night on Google TrendsThe wide receiver is said to have driven under the influence of alcohol LAreported yesterday’s Los Angeles Daily News.
The arrest report states that the 22-year-old wide receiver was found sleeping in the driver’s seat of his vehicle and blocking the freeway exit to LA International Airport around 11 p.m. A little over half an hour later, California Highway Patrol officers arrested him and subsequently conducted a Driving under the influence of alcohol Investigations. However, according to the report, he was released from custody shortly afterwards at 1:30 a.m. on Saturday morning.
When Addison’s team was questioned, Minnesota Vikings stated that they were aware of his arrest last Friday and were currently gathering further information before taking any action.
Although I only have one Beginner Addison had a great start to his freshman season. He was selected 23rd overall last year and caught 70 passes for 911 yards and 10 touchdowns in his first year, earning him a spot on the NFL All-Rookie Team. This is what got him so popular and started showing up on Google Trends.
This wasn’t Addison’s first run-in with the law, however. Last July, before the start of his rookie season, Addison received a ticket for speeding and reckless driving after traveling at 140 mph.
Addison’s latest drunk driving incident is also quite a shock, as just eight days earlier the Vikings rookie Khyree Jackson was one of three people who died in a car accident in Maryland, which might lead people to believe Addison would be more cautious and responsible on the road.
Before his teammate’s death, Addison praised Jackson’s talent and urged fans not to downplay him, also saying he would make headlines in Minnesota. When Metro Sport asked Addison which player they should be most excited about in the upcoming 2024-25 season, he said Khyree, the new cornerback they just got.
