Driver injured in watercraft accident | OCNJ Daily





The accident occurred in Corson’s Inlet.

After a personal watercraft accident in Corson’s Inlet in Ocean City, the driver was hospitalized with injuries.

Authorities did not disclose the driver’s name or place of residence, nor did they release any information about the extent of his injuries.

According to a city statement, Ocean City firefighters responded to the accident on the Intracoastal Waterway near channel marker 304 at 5:48 p.m. Sunday.

The driver was treated at the scene by emergency personnel and transported to the Corson’s Inlet State Park boat ramp with assistance from the Strathmere Volunteer Fire Department.

Care of the patient was turned over to an Ocean City Fire Department ambulance and AtlantiCare paramedics, who transported the driver to Shore Medical Center in Somers Point, the statement said.

The Marine Division of the New Jersey State Police also responded and is investigating the accident.
