Two children found safe and sound, suspect in custody after Amber Alert

LAWTON, Okla. (KSWO) – TO UPDATE: At around 9 p.m., the suspect was arrested by police. Ila Knight was found unharmed and taken into custody along with another child.

According to Lawton police, Knight and another child in police custody were abducted from the daycare on June 27. The mother reported the incident to Lawton police on June 28.

Lawton Police have issued an Amber Alert for a four-year-old from Lawton.

According to the alert, Ila Knight was kidnapped by Charles Wayne Haliburton.

Knight is described as a white female with unknown clothing description.

Haliburton is described as a 26-year-old black man who was last seen driving a white Nissan Altima (model year 2013 to 2018) with black rims and the Oklahoma license plate PDX808.
