Four injured, three arrested after drive-by shooting in Claiborne County

CLAIBORNE CO., Miss. (WLBT) – Three people, including a minor, have been arrested in connection with a drive-by shooting in Claiborne County that left four people injured.

According to the Claiborne County Sheriff’s Department, the incident occurred around 1:15 a.m. on May 27 on Northside Drive.

Officers were responding to reports of gunfire when they discovered a black Nissan Altima that had been struck by multiple gunshots. Four young men were lying next to the car with gunshot wounds.

The four victims were taken to the University of Mississippi Medical Center. Their identities were not released.

After further investigation, the Sheriff’s Office arrested Clydarrious Johnson, Jeremiah Jackson and a juvenile.

They were charged with two counts of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, drive-by shooting, possession of stolen firearms and possession of a stolen vehicle.

According to Claiborne County, more arrests and charges are expected.
