Arrest warrant issued for suspect in Lake Hallie Machete incident

Chad Nylen, who was previously arrested in Lake Hallie for wielding a machete and reckless conduct, is now wanted after failing to appear for a court hearing.

Nylen, who admitted he was under the influence of alcohol and methamphetamine when he was arrested in February, is charged in connection with the incident, which involved an attempted assault on police officers.

An active arrest warrant also was issued for Nylen in Eau Claire County.
