Federal Marshals Arrest New Mexico Refugee in Missouri

A fugitive from New Mexico was arrested by federal law enforcement after fleeing to eastern Missouri. Brian Eisenbeis was arrested in St. Louis, Missouri, after being charged with three felonies in April. The United States Marshals Service made the arrest and sent Eisenbeis to a local jail on Tuesday, May 7. The suspect went on the run after being charged with assault and one count of tampering with evidence following two separate incidents on Wednesday, April 10. APD Chief Harold Medina said he hopes Eisenbeis remains in custody after his extradition. “We are grateful that this suspect was quickly identified by our investigators and taken into custody by the U.S. Marshal Service,” Medina said. “The violent nature of these crimes and the attacks on innocent victims were disturbing. I urge the court to hold him in custody pending trial once he is returned to New Mexico.” Eisenbeis is in custody awaiting extradition to New Mexico. A fugitive from New Mexico was arrested by federal law enforcement after fleeing to eastern Missouri.

Brian Eisenbeis was arrested in St. Louis, Missouri, after being charged with three felonies in April. The United States Marshals Service made the arrest and sent Eisenbeis to a local jail on Tuesday, May 7.

The suspect went on the run after being charged following two separate incidents on Wednesday, April 10. Eisenbeis faces two counts of serious bodily harm and one count of tampering with evidence.

Albuquerque police assisted federal law enforcement in the search for Eisenbeis. APD Chief Harold Medina said he hopes Eisenbeis remains in custody after his extradition.

“We are grateful that this suspect was quickly identified by our investigators and taken into custody by the U.S. Marshal Service,” Medina said. “The violent nature of these crimes and the attacks on innocent victims were disturbing. I urge the court to detain him pending trial once he is returned to New Mexico.”
