Pasco police shoot man armed with machete |

PASCO, Washington.- On Thursday evening, police in Pasco shot a man with a machete.

According to the Pasco Police Department, Officers were named into the parking lot of a shopping center near 32nd and Court Street, where a man was chasing people with a machete.

Officials say police tried unsuccessfully to subdue the armed man. An officer shot the man, who was later confirmed dead after medical attempts to save his life.

By law, a regional special investigation unit will investigate the officer’s use of force.
