Man arrested on Sunday after short chase in east Emporia

Emporia police officers arrested a man on Sunday following an alleged chase.

Officers initially responded to an alleged domestic altercation on Mary Street, but the alleged suspect left the scene when Emporia police arrived. The investigation led officers to the Dollar General on East 12th Avenue, where the suspect allegedly fled. Officers said they found the suspect at the Whittier Place Apartments and arrested him.
