Naperville police investigate stabbing, man reportedly arrested

Naperville Police are investigating a stabbing death reported Saturday, July 6, in the 2500 block of Saddlebrook Drive. On Saturday, July 6, 2024, at 9:37 a.m., Naperville Police Officers were dispatched to a residence in the 2500 block of Saddlebrook Drive for a report of a patient not breathing.

When officers arrived on scene, they found several people in the house.

Among those inside the home was an adult female who appeared to have multiple stab wounds. The Naperville Fire Department responded and transported the victim to a local hospital where she was later pronounced dead.

The exact cause of death is currently under investigation by the DuPage County Coroner’s Office.

Responding officers and investigators conducted a preliminary investigation and arrested an adult male.

The names of all those involved are being withheld pending further investigation into this matter. The names of all those involved will be announced in an updated press release at a later date.
