Mandeville police involved in Friday shooting | Crime/Police

The St. Tammany Parish Sheriff’s Office is investigating a shooting involving Mandeville police officers Friday night, Mandeville police said.

In a Facebook post, the department said the shooting occurred in the 700 block of Heavens Drive and that no officers were injured.

A Mandeville police spokesman declined to say Friday evening whether anyone had been shot.

In the Facebook post, Mandeville police said they had asked the sheriff’s office to investigate the case, but no further details were provided.

A sheriff’s office spokesman said Friday evening that the agency could not release any further information.
