One dead and four injured after car crash in Connecticut

WOLCOTT, CT. (WWLP) – A teenager is dead and four others were seriously injured after an accident in Wolcott, Connecticut

According to police, a car went off the road and hit a tree on Spindle Hill Road around 10 p.m. The front of the vehicle also caught fire.


According to NBC Connecticut, two teenagers were outside the vehicle when police arrived. They said there were three other teenagers inside the burning car. A firefighter reached through the broken rear window and pulled the passenger out of the car. Emergency responders rescued the other two teenagers from the car.

The 18-year-old driver died in the accident. The four passengers were taken to hospital with serious injuries, one of them is currently in critical condition.

The cause of the crash is still being investigated.
