A man found dead overnight in Spartanburg County, South Carolina, has sparked a murder investigation, officials said Tuesday.Lt. A man found dead overnight in Spartanburg County, South Carolina, has sparked a murder investigation, officials said Tuesday.

Lt. Kevin Bobo of the Spartanburg County Sheriff’s Office said officers were called around 12:40 a.m. to a location on Outlook Drive in Boiling Springs where shots had been fired.

When officers arrived, they found “the victim in a shot-up vehicle,” Bobo said.

He said despite officers’ life-saving efforts until emergency services arrived, the man was pronounced dead at the scene.

The man was identified as Kaylen Devagieo Boston, 25, of Duncan, Spartanburg County, Coroner Rusty Clevenger said.
