Several injured after fireworks were fired into the crowd at the Stadium of Fire

PROVO, Utah — Several people were taken to the hospital with injuries after stray fireworks flew into the crowd at the “Stadium of Fireworks” at LaVell Edwards Stadium in Provo on Thursday.

Several injured after fireworks were fired into the crowd at the Stadium of Fire, show cancelled

During the flag ceremony, several fireworks were set off during the military flyover. According to police, some of these fireworks went into the crowd.

Several people were injured and some had to be taken to hospital.

The condition of the injured is currently unknown. The show was interrupted to transport the injured away.

The event’s organizers, America’s Freedom Festival, released the following statement in response to the incident:

“Safety is our highest priority. All pyrotechnics at the Stadium of Fire are thoroughly checked before the show and again after tonight’s incident. Our thoughts are with those affected and we are contacting them to ensure they are OK.”
