8 Fourth of July Events Without Fireworks in the Houston Area

When you hear the words “4th of July,” besides red, white, and blue, fireworks are probably the first thing that comes to mind. For some people, fireworks have a positive association, but for others, that’s not so much the case.

Good news: You don’t have to enjoy fireworks to be patriotic. If you’re in the Houston area for Independence Day, there are plenty of events you can attend that won’t feature pyrotechnics to celebrate America’s birthday.

Here are some of the non-fireworks Fourth of July festivities happening in the Houston metro area on Thursday, July 4:

Or: 10855 Towne Lake Drive, Cypress

Celebrate Independence Day at Towne Lake in Cypress. This free event will feature live music, airbrush face painting, balloon artists, photo backdrop, stilt walkers and much more.
