Sanna Rameau, Ana’s best friend, said, “…I’m glad there’s been an arrest…We hope this next chapter brings justice and that we find answers to what happened to Ana.”

In a previous interview, Rameau said something strange happened shortly before she disappeared.

“Around 9:30 p.m. a man entered the building and they sprayed the security cameras in their building. She was last seen around 10 p.m.,” she said.

The next day, Rameau said she received a mysterious text message from Ana’s phone that was very out of character.

“She said that she had met a man on the street the day before, that she would be at his house two hours from Madrid and that she had a connection with him that she had never had before,” she said.

Rameau said Ana was going through a difficult time as she and her husband were divorcing.

David is due back in federal court on Thursday.
