Buffalo Wild Wings opens in downtown State College | State College News

A Buffalo Wild Wings will open in downtown State College, district planning director Ed LeClear confirmed by phone.

The casual restaurant and sports bar will be located on the first floor of Maxxen at 131 Hiester St.

The restaurant will have an outdoor patio, LeClear said.

Buffalo Wild Wings, operating under the umbrella of State College Wing Company LLC, is requesting a liquor license transfer, according to the agenda for Monday’s State College City Council meeting.

The current permit is located at 16802 North Atherton Street, State College, and is proposed to be transferred to 131 Hiester Street, State College. The transfer, if approved, would be from Don Patron Mexican Grill in State College.

The public hearing is scheduled for August 5, 2025, and approval is scheduled for August 19, 2024.

The exact opening date has not been confirmed by LeClear.
