Louisiana woman killed on Perdido Beach Boulevard Sunday night

Orange Beach, Ala. – (OBA) – Have you ever brought a catch so big that a predator took a huge chunk out of it before you could haul it to shore? Shark encounters are becoming more common across the United States. In addition to the frustration sharks cause anglers, there is also concern that they could negatively impact the fishery. This has led to stricter regulations designed to offset or prevent shark encounters. Sharks are attracted to an area by the sound of boat engines and quickly learn to take advantage of hooked tuna, snapper or sailfish, which make them easy prey.
