LSU’s Javien Toviano arrested and suspended by Tigers for alleged video voyeurism: REPORT

Javien Toviano, a rising sophomore cornerback for the LSU Tigers, turned himself in to police on Sunday after being accused of video voyeurism, the East Baton Rouge Parish Sheriff’s Office said, according to the Associated Press.

Toviano, 19, originally from Arlington, Texas, is accused of filming him and his girlfriend having sex without her consent, according to the arrest warrant, according to the AP. Speaking to investigators, the woman claimed she found footage of the two on Toviano’s iPad, captured by a camera built into a clock placed near the bed, according to a report by The Times-Piscayne/The New Orleans Advocate.

Toviano’s girlfriend told investigators that the LSU cornerback had recorded their previous sexual encounters and that she did not give consent. According to the Associated Press, she also claims that she previously told him that she did not want to be filmed having sex.

When questioned by authorities, Toviano admitted that he secretly filmed the two having sex with a hidden camera, according to the arrest warrant, which was distributed by AP.

According to the outlet, LSU issued a statement saying Toviano has been “suspended from all team activities in accordance with department policy.” (RELATED: ‘I don’t know what you’re good at’: Ole Miss’ Lane Kiffin hilariously rips Paul Finebaum live on national TV)
